A translation and romanji (cause I feel like it). Japanese sounds so lyrical compared to English = ::::::::
Here are the answers to the paths
you've picked up till now.
See, it's good to keep going on with your self confidence,
and to so naturally after the rain,
cross the rainbow like a bridge over the asphalt.
A lonely wind blows.
I notice this feeling.
There's no answer anywhere but
call me, because I understand.
With you, love is always
something we can both attain.
-For you-
Because you'll definitely
be able to fly these skies one day,
no matter how many times you fall, for you
there is only one important thing --
what you see in your dreams.
Only our hearts remains without being closed.
So...hard....*falls*

It's vids like this from Piero that make me love the anime again ^o^ I just wish the animation for the most part could be as nice as the openings and endings >.> Yes, tis Naruto Shippuden, and my new favourite ending theme (shock, no SasuNaru hints o__0). The song sounds so bittersweet and suggests angst with hope in the end through the images.
So, I have had people call me kid-ish and weird cause of my compulsive obsession over the series Naruto, and I suspect people thinking it's shounen thus auto equalling action + gore supreme. However, I do not stalk an anime to the point of knowing the characters bdays just because of gore. *Hmph*. And it's not cause of the SasuNaru completely either.
I've got an extreme soft side for angst with slice of life, all the deep meanings that don't have to be spelt out for you but can just be seen if you look hard enough. I gag at my sister's dramas, she's watching one called brown sugar or something atm and a month ago i was enduring 'bull fighting' (taiwanese drama) every dinner for weeks X.X I'd like to say that although originally targeted at maybe 12 ish year old kids, the naruto series has since spanned its 10 years anniversary and probably retains its original audience, which would now mostly lie around where I am, or even older.
In the video up there there's just 6 of the stories that interlink in the series. There are so many in total that its sometimes ridiculous and hard to keep up with unless you put in the effort, but nonetheless shows a scary truth: each person has their problems, the tragedies in their lives, and although they shrink in on themselves in the face of them, it all affects relationships with others in the end. Quoting from Peter Pan, children are selfish creatures, the problems they are faced with push them one way or another without heed of the circumstances surrounding others.
You've got up there the following scenarios:
- An orphaned boy who is isolated and hated by other children and parents.
- A boy whose entire extended family is massacred by his own beloved brother.
- A boy who as a child grew into the wrong pereption of 'strength', and through ambition became evil.
- A girl whose little brother and boyfriend die as result of war, rendering her unable to stand blood even though she is a medic.
- A boy that believed he'd failed his home and so leaves it, instead travelling other lands and almost severing all his relationships.
- The pink haired girl who can do nothing but watch all these others suffer.
It's a really nice way to put them. All childlike innocence, but then walking off into their different directions as they grow up. Sigh. I love bittersweet. I re-read Peter Pan yesterday and all this kind of stuff makes me giddy.
Mood: Happy, happy, happy. (I'm quite an emotionally simple person).
