Uni: Week 1
Click to see my So far I've found university life pretty enjoyable despite the early mornings and time spent in transit. Well, except for what happened with the arts department T_T I changed my timetable after dropping mandarin chinese. I wanted to talk to the lecturer about it beforehand but ten flights of stairs later only to knock on an empty office door, I chucked that idea out the window and picked up the wonderfully -cough- reputed 'business and economic statistics' instead. Which is why I end up with quite the disgusting timetable with a 5 day week where three days im only going for one hour >.<>
On Wednesday I did several things. Firstly was did volunteer work at Japan Foundation from 10 to 4. I showed up an hour early. I was assuming i'd get lost X.X Anyway, twas quite an enjoyable experience, had a really cool knowledgeable partner and could work a bit on my nonexistent verbal communication skills. The work was helping out mind the photos for an exhibition they were holding and give information/talk to visitors if needed. We got 45 visitors (we did a tally XD), including a guy from ABC who tried to film me but then his camera malfunctioned and I'm hoping it didn't get me, god i'm so nice >.<>.> But seriously, stayed at anime one from 6-8:30 and it was GOOD. o_0 They had a bbq, general chitchat, perverted jokes from the leaders, much shouting, pictionary and trivia before we left. It was very very lively and well organised imo :)
Today I had management lecture. The law theatre is pretty. The audio system killed my ears in that there was a high pitched buzz the whole time which disproved my initial theory that i was slowly going deaf. Yay. Homework is starting to worry me.
