Landscape art!

On the seventh day, the sky was dusted grey and white in a way that touched the skyscrapers. The streets were silent, as though everyone knew today was when it would finally snow.
It came in the afternoon when restaurants and shops were emptied in favour of retreating to the warmth of homes. When the first, ostensibly soft cotton of white touched earth, others began to follow loyally. The streets were deserted. They took over...
March, onwards ---
And with their advance came our retreat, because despite the illusion of white, the deceptive smoothness, the tranquility that hinted at the chambers they'd been formed from, right beneath the most endeavoured for home...
...We were not of their endeared subjects. The asphalt was powdered white. The wires swung lethargically where below, the world was glowing. Such a pity that no one else could see, except for a single other man with his black umbrella.
Oh how he fought to stay on the street, and as though rising to his challenge the wind blew against him, against he that ever thought he could ignore such a declaration of peace. If he would not take the offering, then there was nothing for it.
And so the last man surrendered, escaping into the confines of the corner shop. Victorious but modest, the snow continued its fall, painting Shanghai and its antique world.
Aloha everyone. I decided to test a style of painting I discovered yesterday on youtube when I was supposed to be doing management. If you bothered to read the mini plot bunny above, you'll see the piece was influenced by the time I spent in Shanghai's winter scene.
Time taken: Bit less than 3 hours.
Program used: Photoshop CS2.
Must really work more with my imagination sigh T_T It is devoid of anything remotely exciting in terms of drawing. x.x
